There's a much longer story about why "Only Built For OMG" came to be. The short version is that we recorded this tape in one weekend in the Fall of 2009. And to shine a much brighter light on it, many of the verses were completed LITERALLY while either of us were in the booth. I'm not a fan of "I wrote that verse in 20 minutes" speeches, but this is how a lot of these records were recorded. Devine and I were very much locked in on putting a tape out while we worked on our collaborative OMG project. We had to feed the people SOMETHING because this was being recorded in the early days of the SINGLES ERA. He and I were not only jousting against each other, but also against the legends that we "borrowed" the tape from. But time was not our friend. We had to make quick work of these beats and concepts. What you get is a tape with no edits, no filters, no Band-Aids. Just RAW and UNCUT lyricism. Bars. Make of it what you will. We've elected to make it Free.99. But if you feel the need to drop some coin it will definitely be appreciated.
